New cryptic message

Everything to do with Queens and their music

You know what? It's cool with the lyrics and all, but...

“A Trick With No Sleeve”
Alain Johannes, Dave Grohl, Joshua Homme

Album release: March 12th, 2013

Almost can't believe no one has made this connection until now. "The best trick of all is no trick at all."

So, for me, it's either gonna be the third single of the Sound City album or the first single of the new Queens album.

But why would QOTSA hype up a song off of a Dave Grohl movie soundtrack as the entire basis for their album launch??!?

This isn't just any album, its the first QOTSA album in 6 years, its a return to the SFTD lineup, they pulled in big guests like Reznor and Sir Elton John.... Josh is trying to launch the QOTSA brand into higher places than ever before, I doubt the marketing tease we are all guessing over is just a ploy to share a track with Sound City soundtrack.

Okay what the fuck went down while I was sleeping.
Goddamn

I've read everyone's theories and don't have much else to say, I think you're all pretty well on the ball with this one.

i don't know... perhaps the sound city is just fooling us to think the track is their, but they are actually hiding the new QOTSA.

however, that sounds wildly unlikely. i think it's just another track from the original OST.

The media are latching on to our theories.

But as a user on the Fade fan forum has pointed out, if you put them all together you get "A Stitch In Time Will Save You 9, But.. Some Things You Can't Fix, So.. If You Find.."

The funniest part of this article was
There's been one other clue. As theFade.net notes, the phrase "A stitch in time," from that first letter, also appears in the song "Holey Dime," from QOTSA's 10th Desert Sessions album, Volume 10: I Heart Disco. The band has traditionally released songs from the Desert Sessions on its own albums; could "Holey Moley" be this year's contender?

I doubt that song is directly linked to the album, I just think the lyrical themes are likely to be similar. Also, I should have noticed that earlier.
