For me, the QOTSA show was undoubtedly the best of the entire three day festival ! I even think it was the best gig I have ever seen ... At that moment I wasn't even a QOTSA fan, but about ten minutes into the concert, all that changed. The Queens gave a great performance, playing with lots of feeling, yet playing very tightly. It was like I could not only hear the music, I could actually feel it ! It made me soooo happy, I almost started to cry ... well, maybe the shrooms, joints and alcohol had something to do with that too :-)

As usual Nick decided to play in the nude, sometimes showing off his stuff as he held his bass in the air, standing legs wide appart with one foot on the amp, leaving nothing to the imagnination ... In spite off the male crowd being intimidated by Nick, the atmosphere was pretty good as the evening fell. It was getting dark so the lightshow came into effect and it finally started to cool down somewhat, it had been an unbearably hot day. About halfway through the set, Josh declares that the party isn't wild enough by far and starts playing with the crowd, getting great interaction wich certainly added to the already great ambiance. The setlist included songs like : Feel good hit of the summer, Tension head, Monsters in the parasol, The lost art of keeping a secret, Quick and to the pointless, Mexicola, ... and that's about all I can remember ... I wonder why :-) What I do remember, is that this concert was one of the most pleasurable experiences I have ever had.
